Rapley News
27 Jul 2011 - Rapley builds pace in the North West
After a strong showing in the recent inaugural HIA Pilbara Home Awards, Rapley is going from strength to strength in the North West. The company has announced significant contracts in Kununurra and Karratha, totalling almost AUD$15 million.
The first, a major Department of Housing contract, will see 25 new Rapley homes built in Kununurra – a mix of home sizes with four, three and two bedrooms. Nine of these new homes will be double storey, which is rare in the sparsely populated Kimberley town.
The challenge in building high quality homes in an isolated but important centre like Kununurra is to select and supply materials that will deal with occasional extreme conditions, and also to employ trade teams that meet Rapley’s stringent standards. However, with the design well advanced and construction on schedule, Rapley is working closely with local subcontractors to ensure that the finished residences all deliver the trademark Rapley quality.
Further south, in Karratha, the decision to build a display home in Baynton West has paid off for the company, with no less than twelve new home contracts signed in June. All individual homes for private buyers, the completion of these Rapley designs in 2012 will cement its reputation as one of the Pilbara’s most popular home builders.
